MEETING GABROO FIRST TIME(KK GOSWAMI AT KOLKATA,2003)

 

FUN CITY, KOLKATA INVITED VIKRAAL AND GABROO IN 2003. I WENT WITH MY FATHER THERE TO MEET THEM . THERE IS LOT OF THINGS TO BE STATED. WE MET GABROO ONLY BECAUSE VIKRAAL COULD NOT ARRIVE THERE ON THAT SPECIAL DAY.

It was 22nd June Sunday the show was arranged by Funcity Authority,Behala.

The previous Tuesday my cousin brother brought the paper Hindustan Times to me where the program advertisement was printed. I jumped and cried with happiness and arranged some handmade gifts for Vikraal and Gabroo.I was in a question why they didn't invite Lily? I ring Fun City 's phone number and talked to them in Hindi,for the first time in my life. I asked whether we can meet them personally and give any gift to them.But they could not assure me about it.

When the Sunday came I woke up at morning 4.30 am and watched koi hai repeat of CAPTAIN STORY TALAASH  and got ready by bathing and chanting prayers to God to be successful in the mission of the day. Then by 7am my father and I set out for the function because they told us the tickets will be sold on a first come first chance basis. 

With a Taxi From Talapark , Kolkata we reached the venue very early and bought the ticket to seat closer to the stage. We were waiting only for the show and spending time by eating and playing games there. All were staring at us curiously because we reached so early in the morning when nobody were there to attend the show.

I was very tensed about what will happen in the evening.Then suddenly we came to know that Vikraal could not land up for some reason and by the perfect time Kk Goswami reached there.The crowd followed Gabroo , my father was constantly supporting me in the matter. I went forcefully into the greenroom and took Kk Ji's Autograph,gifted him the handmade greeting card and then he went on the stage.I took a few snaps as shown below.

I still remember there I met girl named Somasree who became my friend and we started discussing about Lily and Vikraal. We shared phone number and was connected for a few months.

Then the Fancy Dress Competition started,Kk ji danced with the children and then asked few questions I remember:

1.Gabroo Bhoot hai ya Insaan?

Every body said he is a Ghost.

2. Vikraal kisko pyar karta hai?

Every one answered "Lily"but Gabroo replied "Vikraal to pyar hi nahi karta!"

3.Gabroo ka sabse pyari chiz kya hai?

Every body answered"Lily aur Sona."

4. Gabroo ka pura asli naam kya hai?

One of the crowd answered it is" krishnakant Goswami."

Gabroo gifted him a pen as his answer was correct. Thus the program went on and ended in evening. 

We left the for the house after the enjoyment.

My father said "If Gabroo could not have arrived, every fun was going to be none".

We returned by bus sitting alone with my father. It was 10 pm when we reached home.

The Day is ever memorable in my life.

I returned with Vikraal' gift in hand which is still now remaining with me.
